Walnut Creek Juvenile and Traffic Center

Background Information

The Traffic Court in Walnut Creek serves the communities of: Alamo, Avon, Canyon, Clayton, Clyde, Concord, Danville, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda, Pacheco, Pleasant Hill, Rheem, Rossmoor, San Ramon, St. Mary's College, Walnut Creek, and Ygnacio Valley. The Juvenile Court in Walnut Creek hears dependency, delinquency and truancy cases.

Entrance/Security

There is only one entrance to the courthouse and this is accessible for people with disabilities. As in most court buildings, anyone entering the building must go through a security check.

Court Clerk's Window

In this court you can resolve traffic matters. Traffic clerks accept payments for traffic cases only. Juvenile and traffic clerk windows open to the public at 8:00 AM and close at 4:00 PM.

Upstairs Lobby

There are four courtrooms in Walnut Creek – one on the ground floor and three on the second floor. People involved in court cases being heard on the second floor may wait in the lobby for their case to be called.

Drop Box

The Walnut Creek drop box is located to the left of the entrance to the courthouse. Please be sure that your name, address, phone number, and case number are clearly noted on any payments or correspondence that you place in the drop box.

NOTE: Any document deposited in this drop box between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM will be deemed filed on that same day.
